  As there is not an active moderator for the group at the moment and due to some fallacies when the Blog was initially created, the Blog currently on the site is being retired and removed entirely from the site.  If/When the group is made active again this will be updated along with the rest of the page and content.   This is being done as I've received numerous e-mails that spam bots are spamming the blog with comments for SEO and actually hurting other site performance.  Rather than have to comb through all the comments to pull them Out it is easier to simply retire the blog as the majority of the comments are all of this nature.

Summer is over and so is your break!  The Central Ohio DNN User Group is back in action and our next meeting will be September 20th, 6:00 again at Platform Lab.  This meeting comes right before DotNetNuke World, and in case you can't make that you definitely should come to the meeting as we'll be covering some of the same things that the DNN World presenters will.  And as always, if you have questions on how to accomplish something with DNN, the group has several members who are extremely knowledgeable and willing to share information and ideas.

If you have found the user group beneficial in the past, please continue your support by attending the meetings.  If you haven't gotten anything out of the meetings in the past, the group is what you make of it!!!  Whether you can or can't come, please invite anyone you know that works with DNN (or any other CMS for that matter) and by all means please communicate with me if you have ideas on how to improve the user group meetings.  If attendance continues to wane we will have no choice but to cancel the group meetings as it is unfair to our sponsors (and poor attendance limits the companies that will extend sponsorship).

Summer vacation time!  We're going to take the summer off and cancel the July & August meetings.  An announcement will be made for starting back up in September, same time (third Thursday @ 6:00) and same place (Platform Lab).  Enjoy your summer!

Everyone should take a moment and go over to http://www.artisteer.com/ and check out their Automated Web Designer tool.  In their Trial Edition you have the ability to create skin designs and export them.  I'm finding it to be a very useful tool.  Still more testing to be done.  But it is definately worth a review by other users.

Thank you to everyone in the usergrouup first of all.  Had I not started this UG endeavor, I would not have gotten actively re-involved in the community scene likely.  Some time ago I submitted a few bugs uncovered in DNN 6.2.  Below are the links for the bug track reports.  I just received e-mail confirmation today that both of these have been fixed, in an upcoming branch of the DNN 6.2 code.  Now that's just awesome to see that kind of result!

 

Without the work I'm doing for all of us though I likely wouldn't have seen it, and who knows if it would have been reported.

User Group Meeting went great!  We had a total of 6 attendees. That's a 150% improvement over last month :0)  Some great conversation, and great demo by PackFlash!
